Milton Keynes is a real shoppers’ paradise, with one of the largest shopping centres in Europe at the Centre:MK (one of the world’s longest shopping arcades, with over three miles of shopfronts) and the adjacent Midsummer Place. The city centre alone has over 400 shops and in the surrounding market towns and villages, you’ll find a wealth of traditional boutique shops offering designer clothes, crafts and gifts, antiques and much more.
There are two big retail centres on the outskirts, at Kingston to the east and Westcroft to the west, plus dozens of smaller centres dotted around the area, where you’ll find household names and specialists in all kinds of products.
Five farmers’ markets operate each month within the surrounding areas of Newport Pagnell, Olney, Woburn, Stony Stratford and Wolverton and regular genuine French, German and Italian markets are held within the city centre.
